Own the companies that design chips, license processor architectures, and supply the software used to engineer silicon, rather than manufacturers expanding fabrication capacity. The hardware selloff creates an opportunity to buy design franchises spanning connectivity, analog electronics, and power management, with less direct exposure to factory construction. This remains a cyclical basket: weaker chip demand and further valuation compression could outweigh the benefits of broader end markets.
